IngerShaye Colzie is most known for providing a safe place for Professional Black Women with ADHD to share their unique experiences.

Today we’ll be sharing the exact same strategies Inger Shaye used with thousands of professional Black women to manage overwhelm at work, at home, and use their experiences to help their children in just a few weeks without getting burned out.

Something about the speaker that impressed me was that she was one of the first people to launch a Black-oriented coaching business: The International Association of Black ADHD Coaches.

In this session, we are going to discuss how IngerShaye is supporting professional black women with ADHD to thrive in their professional careers, and as parents to kids with ADHD. These are topics she has learned from due to her personal experience with ADHD.

We will discuss and practice ways to help reduce overwhelm for professional women with ADHD or mothers of kids with ADHD, both at home and at work, which will lead to improved career success, mental wellbeing, and positive outcomes for kids with ADHD.

By the end of it, you will have the resources and tools needed to improve your ADHD symptoms, work-life balance, and parenting, through managing ADHD symptoms that get in the way.

IngerShaye Colzie is an ADHD Leadership Coach and Psychotherapist specializing in making a difference for Black women executives and entrepreneurs, supporting women through clarity, empowerment, and resilience.

Inger has successfully run her practice, Alchemy Coaching & Counseling, as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 15 years before her diagnosis in her 50s. She offers the benefits of professional expertise with a lifetime of experience.

Her experience includes:
- being certified as a neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) practitioner
- a Level 2 Brainspotting practitioner, which allows her to access brain and body processes in her approach
- an ADDA member and volunteer
- an executive committee member of CHADD Philadelphia
- being the Founder of The International Association of Black ADHD Coaches
- and lastly, a C-Suite Executive Coach for a multi-million dollar company

While we know that today’s diagnostic tools are more accurate and available to detect ADHD symptoms, research shows that people in the black community, especially girls with ADHD, remain underdiagnosed.

This is because their symptoms are mischaracterized and signs of inattentiveness or impulsivity, the two main features of ADHD, could be mistaken for laziness or defiance. The longer these girls aren’t diagnosed and treated, the more their problems are likely to worsen as they grow into adults.
