Dr. Evans is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Psychology at Ohio University and a licensed clinical psychologist in Ohio. His research interests are school-based treatments for adolescents with ADHD.

He will share with you information about some common school services for students with ADHD that are unlikely to be helpful and others that greatly improve their success at school, which he has shared with thousands of families.

Something that impressed me about Dr. Evans is his clear direction on school-based interventions which provides resources from an educator’s perspective.

Adolescents with ADHD frequently experience problems at school completing work, getting along with others, performing well on tests and quizzes, and following school rules.

For some youth, these problems lead to school dropout, academic failure, substance use, and delinquency. Improving a student’s social and academic success at school can change an adolescent’s trajectory and reduce the risk of poor outcomes.

The interventions needed to improve the outcomes for these adolescents are available, but too often they are not used as people choose to reduce expectations for the student or provide other accommodations.
